Our school mission statement begins with “Driven by our Catholic Faith.” All that we do at Bishop Moore Catholic High school begins and ends with our faith. We recognize that God has created each one of our students for a purpose, and our dream is to help each young man or woman on our campus recognize the gift of who they are and walk with Christ in their journey of life. Join us in this mission and pray for our BMC community as we seek to faithfully live out our mission each and every day.
Campus Ministry
Check out our Campus Ministry page to see many opportunities for our students to grow in faith and live a life of service.
Family of Faith
Once a month, parents and friends of BMC get together to grow in faith while getting to know one another. The events start at 8:00 am, although many arrive earlier to drink coffee and chat. It’s a great time to catch up and support one another through these high school years. Once everyone has filled their plates with a delicious breakfast, a speaker presents a particular faith-related topic. There’s always time for questions at the end, and everyone is able to leave by 9:00 am, bellies and spirits filled! For more information, contact JP Kuhlman.
Magnificat Parent Prayer Group
We welcome parents to pray together with our Campus Ministry team each Tuesday at 8:00 am in the Moore Center. We will not hold a prayer group when a Family of Faith is scheduled. Sign up to receive reminders about our Tuesday prayer group.
To The Heights Podcasts
Welcome to the podcast, To the Heights, or Verso L’ Alto, taken from Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati’s philosophy on life and adventure and his climb towards Christ.
Join Bishop Moore Catholic High School Head Football Coach Matt Hedrick and Director of Mission Effectiveness, JP Kuhlman, as they explore contemporary topics of faith, connection, and current events through a Catholic lens.
Mission Trips
BMC and the Diocese of Orlando Mission Office team up each year to take groups of students to our “sister diocese” of San Juan de la Maguana for mission trips. BMC students have the opportunity to teach and bring Christ’s care to the people of this beautiful mountainous region, then share their experiences with our school community when they return. Rising seniors are able to apply for these opportunities at the beginning of the school year.
Vocations
It is the duty of all Catholics to promote and support religious vocations to the priesthood and religious life. We aim to create an environment of awareness of the various vocations in the life of the Church, as well as support and/or facilitate opportunities for encounter and deeper discernment. We also create opportunities for awareness in classroom religion classes, bringing in seminarians, priests, and religious sisters as guest speakers.
