Program Success
Our teams have consistently excelled, winning District Championships from 2014 to 2020 and again in 2022 and 2023. They also claimed Regional Championship titles from 2015 to 2020 and achieved the prestigious title of State Runner-Up in 2017, highlighting a sustained commitment to excellence and competitive success.
Chris Emig, a Texas A&M University alum, is entering his third season as Head Coach at BMCHS, marking his 20th year as a head coach. Emig’s impressive career includes being a three-time FHSAA Florida Coach of the Year and leading Winter Park High School to four Team State Championships. He is a distinguished member of Winter Park High School’s Hall of Fame, honored as both a swimmer and a coach—the only graduate in the school's history to win a State Championship as an athlete and a coach. Emig has also guided numerous swimmers to secure athletic scholarships across the country. A fun fact about Emig is that he was the #1 recruit in the country during his swimming career.

The Leonard & Marjorie Williams YMCA has been the proud home of Hornet Swim & Dive and Water Polo since the fall of 2023. This state-of-the-art facility provides excellent amenities for training and competition, supporting the growth and success of our aquatic programs. With its commitment to fostering a vibrant community, the YMCA enhances the overall experience for athletes and fans alike.
